Hello! Today was one of my favorite days here in Italy! We were able to visit the city of Spoleto and see some of the monuments around town. However, I was very exhausted with all of the traveling. We woke up early and had some breakfast at the villa and then rode an hour on the bus ride to the mountaintop city of Spoleto. We tasted some fresh mountain water out of a fountain and it was so good! Catia took us to the Spoleto Cathedral. Because it is a Sunday, mass was about to take place so we had to rush through the cathedral.

However, we were still able to walk to the front and view the beautiful painting of Mary descending to Heaven. We then were able to walk around the city and buy some items from the shops! I got some gifts for my family back home and walked through the beautiful streets of Spoleto. Next, we had lunch at Del Trattoria Festival Pizzeria. It was five course meal and absolutely delicious. Below is a picture of everything we ate! We left the city afterwords and visited an olive oil producer. They have over 25,000 olive trees in their possession and pick every tree by hand to make their cold pressed extra virgin olive oil! The owner walked us through the methods they use to make and cure the olive oil and then allowed us to try some. We were able to purchase olive oil from their store and I got some to being back with me!
